Alert Emails

If you create outbreak alerts, your email address is used only to send the alerts you request. It is never used for marketing or shared with third parties. You may request deletion at any time.

Local Preferences

Display preferences, such as light or dark mode, are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to Ventum Watch servers.

No Cookies

Ventum Watch sets no cookies — none. There are no session cookies, no advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking, no Google Analytics, no Meta Pixel, and no similar third-party tracking service of any kind. This is why you see no cookie consent banner: there is nothing to consent to.

Local Storage Only

Display preferences, such as light or dark mode, are kept in your browser's local storage on your own device. This information never leaves your browser and is not transmitted to our servers. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.

Service Operation

Technical data is used solely to run, maintain, and improve Ventum Watch. It is never used to build user profiles or target advertising.

Alert Delivery

If you set up alerts, your email address is used only to send those notifications. Nothing else.

Security and Legal Compliance

We may use collected data to protect the service from abuse and to comply with applicable legal obligations. We do not sell, rent, trade, or monetize your personal information under any circumstances.

Public Health Organizations

Ventum Watch displays publicly available outbreak data from WHO, CDC, ECDC, and PAHO. We access only official APIs, RSS feeds, and public reporting channels — no private or user-submitted data is involved.

News Media

The news feed also aggregates publicly available outbreak-related headlines from established news organizations via news aggregation services. We display only headlines, summaries, and links to the original articles; the articles themselves remain the property of their publishers. Reading an article happens on the publisher's own site, under their privacy policy.

Hosting Infrastructure

Ventum Watch runs on reputable third-party cloud hosting and database infrastructure. These providers process data (such as server logs and the alert email database) on our behalf, solely to deliver the service, and are bound by their own security and data-protection obligations. They are not permitted to use this data for their own purposes.

External Links

When you follow a link to an original source, you leave Ventum Watch. Those organizations maintain their own privacy policies, which govern any information you share with them.

How We Protect Your Data

All connections to Ventum Watch are encrypted using TLS. Alert email addresses are stored in a database encrypted at rest, with access restricted to authorized personnel only.

Important Limitation

No system is completely secure. While we apply industry-standard protections, we cannot guarantee absolute security for data transmitted over the internet.

Access, Correction, and Deletion

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data we hold about you. To make a request — including deleting your alert email address — contact us below. We respond within 30 days.
